To solve the problem of irrigation Nand installed water boring system. But that was unsuccessful. After digging up to a depth he found that the land he selected for that didn’t have enough water. Due to failure in finding right layer the installation of boring was not completed and the pipes were left there drying. Children started calling that field “boring bala khet” that means a field having boring. Afterwards the Government declared to arrange boring system. When people came to know through Nand’s brother that this boring system would be arranged in those fields having sufficient water instead of fields those need that then they sent their representatives to the Chief Minister with an application. Then the problem was solved. A seven feet tall English man arrived with peculiar machines and finished the installation within two days. But later on someone said that the white man was an American not British. Every white person didn’t need to be British. The dams were constructed in Kamala and Balan rivers. Everything was going very smoothly for next some days but after that sand was filled in dams. The boundary walls were reconstructed higher but that was in vain. The sand level rose up to the bridge of Jhanjharpur. A little flow of water in the river was enough to cross the line of danger and overflow to submerged the path, fields, and ponds. The useless fields of highlands became fertile and the most fertile fields of the low land became useless. The sandy fields between two boundaries of dams had to be sowed twice for a single harvest. People started growing parwals (pointed gourds) and sweet potatoes in sandy grounds. The surrounding area of the Dakahi pond was used to grow rice in informal manner without proper sowing process as that was expensive. The old fertile fields were filled with water. The village of Bhoraha was in very low land between Kothia and Mehath. Perhaps it was a diverted stream of Koshi.

The fact stated above may seem incredulous considering present geographical position of the river Koshi. The bank of the Bhoraha stream had witnessed the fight between villagers of Kothia and Mehath. The story of one old man from the Bhomihar community of west side- people used to tie him with pillar of the house but he used to come out of that to fight with the people of neighbour village. He used to have an axe tied with long bamboo stick for this purpose. Around 60 kilos of churi were broken in that fight.             

 


